This week Pantone announced it's Color of the Year 2019, which always brings a level of anticipation and excitement. As a designer, it's fun for me to see where color trends are going, especially in the florist industry. While I don't think "blush and bashful" (Steel Magnolias reference, anyone?) is going anywhere in the wedding industry, hopefully the 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral, will make it's appearance next year!
I thought it would be fun to show some of my favorite flowers for anyone that is looking to incorporate this happy, vibrant coral tone in their wedding!
Coral Charm Peony
This is the absolute first flower that I thought of after seeing the new Color of the Year. Peonies are absolutely lovely: they are the big and fluffy stars of the wedding bouquet, if you should choose to have them. Coral Charm Peonies change color as they bloom, so their coral-ness can either be really bold or really light.
Shimma shimma. The shimmer rose is so unique and versatile. The outer petals are a perfect blush, while the inner petals give off a peachy-coral vibe. This flower is perfect for the bride who wants mostly blush wedding flowers, but can't resist that punchy coral!
I realize this isn't the most professional of blogger photos, but these poppies were to die for, and they were grown by my friend Shanti over at Whipstone Farm. I used them for my friend's baby shower, and they come in the most perfect coral, along with lots of other happy hues!
